The name of my sculpture “Plant Your Poles” is a phrase used by ski instructors when teaching a skier how to make turns. I have taken the above term literally as inspiration to create a whimsical pot of ski pole “plants”.
The recycled objects used to create my sculpture: old skis and ski poles, broken dishes, doorknobs and other bibelots, were gathered at
The mosaic design on the concrete flower pot is a technique called “Picque Assiette”* This is the art of creating mosaic designs with pieces of broken china on almost anything
I hope my art reflects the challenge and fun I have exploring and manipulating objects and ideas in new and creative ways.
