The Vermonsters of the Deerfield Valley
Lucy McNulty

Lucy McNulty’s home and art space are in Pownal, Vermont. As a very diversified artist, she is always experimenting with new mediums and blazing new trails. Lucy’s work as a Graphic Artist, Sign Painter, Painter, Metal Sculptor, Window Dresser, Chainsaw Carver and many other skills are observed in awe by many. An avid animal lover, she is the publisher and sole graphic artist for her own delightful publication Creature's Corner News, which she created over eleven years ago and still manages solely on her own. A zest for life is evident in all that Lucy produces. As a participant in “Moosefest 2005” in Bennington, Vermont her moose creation “Anonymoose” took the top and highest bid at auction. “Anonymoose” currently and forever resides at The Bennington Centre of The Arts/The Covered Bridge Museum in Bennington, Vermont. As a participate in Bennington’s ‘Palettefest’ community art project Lucy’s “Palette Pony” took fourth highest bid at auction. For Vermonsters Lucy has created “Ver Morganster”. In keeping with the guidelines of the art project, he was created solely of found, used, recycled and some new items all fashioned in keeping with a “Vermont Theme”.  In honour of the Morgan horse, Vermont’s state animal, Ver Morganster’s body was created from old barn and discarded boards, his mane and tail are hay baling twine, his rockers (wheels) were recovered from an antique hay tedder, his saddle is an old bicycle seat and anything else on him are items that were found, recovered and recycled. His head was chainsaw carved by Lucy from an old pine log.“Ver Morganster” also seems to bear a striking family resemblance to “Anonymoose”, see if you can identify it! Lucy hopes that “Ver Morganster” will bring enjoyment and a smile to all that view him. Some of Lucy’s many artworks may be viewed at www.LooSeeArt.com and her domestic animal publication is found at  www.CreaturesCorner.com.
