Patrice Schneider
In all my work the process is evident. the process is as valid as the end results. I do not favor the modification of elements these things are worked out through the art making process.² This is the basis of Patrice Schneider¹s work. Patrice began making art at the age of 3 and has never stopped. She received her BA in fine arts from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC where she was adwarded the Citation of Distinction. Patrice has studied at the John Cass Art Institute in London, UK, where she was the only American student to have her work exhibited in the Degree Show. She did post graduate work at The NY Studio School, The Philadelphia Academy of Fine Art and the Clay Studio in Philadelphia. Patrice has studied under renowned artists including: John Winslow, Tom Nakashima, Glenn Goldberg. Elena Sisto, Nick Carone, Robert Storr, Stanley Lewis, Dorthea Hoffman, Debbie Dunlap and haute couture designer Nigel Preston. Under the name Demer Art, Patrice created, exhibited and sold her ceramic creations nationwide through juried craft shows and retail outlets such as Nordstorms, Macy¹s and The Morris Museum. Patrice has exhibited her drawings and paintings in group shows and solo shows in NYC, Washington DC, Philadelphia, PA and NJ. Under pg designs Mrs Schneiders interior decorating company Patrice creates beautiful spaces, painted and sculpted backsplashes and murals.
